Our goal is to facilitate the creation of 80,000 new jobs with salaries over $80,000 in technology and innovation by 2030.
With everyone's support, we'll create an environment where innovation drives economic growth and where the brightest minds choose to work.
HTDC's objectives are to:
- Facilitate economic prosperity on all islands
- Attract prominent innovators and businesses to Hawaii
- Create the right jobs so our kama ʻaina can stay in Hawaii
- Increase the survival rate of Hawaii tech companies
- Build Hawaii’s reputation as the perfect place to do business
Building an innovation economy in Hawaii is an excellent opportunity to sustain Hawaii’s future. Innovation is driving growth for the US economy and will do the same for Hawaii.
Hawaii currently thrives on innovation with 78,000 technology and creative sector jobs, so building on that to form a strengthened innovation economy is achievable. We will do so by joining forces with those who are focused on new ideas, products, and processes.
Everyone must work together to make Hawaii the perfect place to work and do business. To do that, we need to focus on strengthening three major components; infrastructure, capital, and talent.
Building of a strengthened innovation economy in Hawaii is underway. It requires the continued support of everyone.
