The basic tutorial is presented by national proposal writing trainer Mark Henry, who has helped companies win hundreds of federal Small Business Innovation Research grants and competitive contracts.

Did You Know?

Grants.gov is the required electronic gateway for federal grant submissions. Save time and frustration by learning the right way to register your business on grants.gov. The tutorial is optimized to prepare companies for actual registration at the workshop. Pre-workshop preparation is strongly advised (contact sbir@htdc.org).

About the Presenters:

Mark Henry, Grow LLC: Over 29 years of experience in helping innovative small firms across the country win hundreds of government R&D grants and contracts. Provides client support in the planning, coordination, and production/writing/editing of grant and contract proposals that support client R&D efforts and company developmnet. Has given presentations at more than 50 national SBIR conferences and has provided SBIR training workshops in more than 30 states. He has been involved in the planning and preparation of some 1600 SBIR and STTR prooposals.

Catherine Henry, Grow LLC: Provides proposal support services to obtain government funding for clients, and contracts/grants management support after the proposal is awarded. Helps clients negotiate the various and diverse governmental agency requirements for SBIR/STTR proposal submissions, and with agency electronic contract applications. She also has extensive experience in writing, editing, and preparing proposals to be responsive to agency-specific requirements.
