HTDC Showcases the Aloha Spirit at Hawaiʻi on the Hill

HTDC’s INNOVATE Hawaiʻi had the chance to showcase Hawaiʻi and the aloha spirit at the 5th Annual Hawaiʻi on the Hill on June 12 and 13 on Capitol Hill in Washington DC. It was a record year for Hawaiʻi on the Hill with more than 150 attendees representing more than 80 companies from a variety of local industries. Senator Mazie Hirono, Senate President Ron Kouchi and Mayor Bernard Carvalho, Mayor Kirk Caldwell, and members of the County, City Councils and Hawaiʻi State Legislature participated in the event, showing the collaborative effort among public and private sectors to promote Hawaiʻi. The event helped remind national leaders how Hawaiʻi businesses contribute to the nation’s economy overall.
